A reflective season, Lent begins next week, on Ash Wednesday (Feb. 13). Some of us avoid it, not wanting to give up anything–as if that were all it’s about.
While Lent is a time of renewal, of setting aside our appetites, it is also a time to lean into one simple desire: the desire for more of God.
To that end, the wonderful folks at Abingdon Press are organizing a Lenten blog study of Deeply Loved. For each of the 40 days of Lent, we’ll focus on one chapter of Deeply Loved.

I received Deeply Loved earlier, but when I saw the 40 days format I thought it would make for an excellent focus during Lent. I’m excited to follow along with the book and study.
