Start Your Powerful Story

Welcome to Start Your Powerful Story. If you want to write a book, you’re in the right place. Your publishing adventure starts by drilling down on four key areas: your message, your reader, your expertise, and the conversation you’re joining.

    What is your unique message?

Your story is powerful. The stirring in your mind and heart to write a book is an excellent starting point. But a book needs more than just a good idea. Use this space to brainstorm. The questions will help you to narrow down your topic and clarify your thinking. Of course, other books on similar topics exist, but don’t worry about that. None of them offers your distinctive perspective, shaped by your wisdom and experience.

Give yourself some time and space to answer these five questions. This step can take anywhere from five minutes to a couple of hours. Use this form to put everything in one place.

Work your way to the bottom of the page, where you’ll describe what your book is about in four sentences or less. Once you complete and submit this step, you’ll be ready to move on to step two, Who is Your Reader?

Books typically encourage, entertain, or educate. Which will yours primarily do?
