Hi as you can see my name is as mentioned above but every one calls me Richard, let me start by saying good afternoon, I was listening to a programe today called mid-day connection on the radio station 89.3 WRMB, I heard the conversation about the sabbath, before I go any further I just want to let you know that I’m not pointing fingers at anyone, I am a Seventh-day Sabbath School Teacherand I really didn’t like the comments and some of the answers that was given.
1. The Sabbath is not a day of rest for us to rest from our work and enjoy the pleasures of the world.
2. Christ came not to change Sabbath rather he came to change the cermonial law, behold the lamb that was slain for all our sins.
3. the Sabbath is the memorial of creation we should all observ the sabbath-day as the Seventh-day of the week thus saith Lord, it is a day of where we all shoul rest form our seccular in oredr to come before the Lord on that to worship in Praised and Thanksgiving as he haved created the Heavens and the Earth in Six days and Rested on the Seventh-day we all should worship on the seventh-day as Christ did.
4. Note that the Sabbath was giving before the fall of mankind, as Christ said the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath, note that it is also the only commandment that GOD remind us he says remember the Sabbath-day to keep it holy.
Me and my wife we would like to conversate some more with you on the true sabbath the holy day of rest, here are a few passages that cana better under stand the Sabbath rest, Exodus16:23, 20:8-11, Num 15:32, Neh 13:19, Jer 17:19-23, Isa 56:2-5 58:13,14 Why would the Lord break is own Covenant with mankind?
Ps. repond I would really like to reason with you some more as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Hi Keri,
Found your site on the blog, Terra Garden. Some days it does seem like the world is spinning out of control with so much to do, always somewhere to go…
so I would love to have the opportunity to win your book, Rest – Living in the Sabbath Simplicty. I really miss the simplier lifestyle I grew up with. There was more family time, more time for solitude, creativity…now even in church we are pushed to do more and more.
Thanks ~ Bev
